Aria Young is a 19-year-old American Chinese racial and gender equality activist. She grew up in Shanghai, China and went to high school in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She currently studies at New York University. Aria is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Asians Lead, a youth-led initiative that works to empower and inspire AAPI youth. She is also a 2019-2020 Teen Advisor Alum, a UN Foundation Initiative Girl Up, a Global Outreach Associate at Dream Equal, Inc., and an aspiring media professional with passions for journalism, TV broadcasting, directing, and acting.
She anchored her school news show for two years, competed as an attorney in Mock Trial for two years, gave speeches at multiple occasions, and recently spoke as a panelist on Girl Up’s virtual storytelling panel.
