Sophie Beren is a unifier, from Wichita, Kansas, on a mission to break open our echo chambers and amplify Gen Z voices. Sophie went to The University of Pennsylvania where she received her undergraduate and master's degrees. She is the founder of The Conversationalist, a media tech communications platform empowering young people everywhere to have conversations that matter, and was recently named 25 Under 25 by Social Entrepreneurs Magazine.
"I believe that if every voice is heard, shared, and valued, then we can unify the world. By helping students develop leadership skills as well as social and emotional learning skills, TableTalk prepares students for the world beyond their campuses so they can thrive in our diverse society. In watching the TableTalk brand expand and in conducting market research to better understand why young adults are failing to have substantive conversations, I launched my company, The Conversationalist, to empower young people everywhere to have conversations that matter. Our content comes in the form of weekly podcasts, articles, and videos all about topics that young adults struggle with each day. The Conversationalist is a content platform designed to empower young people everywhere to have conversations that matter. Through weekly podcasts, video series, and articles, we provide Gen Z-ers with the information they need to break outside of their echo chambers, to have these conversations about topics that are too often sidelined. Season 1 is all about mental health and body image, with each week focusing on a new lens by which we can have conversations about the topic. By utilizing existing social media channels in our distribution and including multiple perspectives in all of our content, we hope to create an informative, inclusive, and intentional space to amplify each and every young adult's unique voice.
